You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.

Academic
.You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing 5 adventure dives that you will complete over the course of 2 days.
.There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – You have a wide spread of choice for the 3 optional dives to chose from.
.During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving.
.The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
Your instructor will teach you special techniques for each adventure dive that you choose, and suggest various ways that you can improve yourself.
Equipment
Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example, you’d obviously use a dry suit for the Dry Suit Adventure Dive or a side mount configuration during the Sidemount Adventure Dive. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as dive light for night diving or lift bag for search and recovery diving. Sign up and enroll for your Advanced Open Water Diver materials and start learning. Your PADI Instructor will meet with you to schedule knowledge review sessions along with your Adventure Dives.
Learn about seven of the most popular Adventures Dives – including the required Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives, plus Boat, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist and Wreck Adventure Dives. You study at your own pace through an easy to use, interactive programs. You can also choose to read the Adventures in a Diving manual and watch the Adventures in Diving video (a book and DVD package) at the Dive Resort.

UNA will provide all the basic scuba gear you’ll use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, wetsuit, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and a tank. Refreshments on board and drinking water are available for all, Breakfast on dive day.

If you opt to experience only three programs like Deep, Navigation and say Night diving you get certified as an Adventure Diver. These dives can be counted if you take up specialty programs in these courses. Later on, you can complete you two more elective dives and get certified as Advance Open Water Diver.
DO I HAVE TO SIT FOR EXAMS AGAIN?
Don’t worry, this course is an experiential program, just complete all the quiz and knowledge review of the relevant sections of your adventures in a diving manual, plus five open water adventure dives and you receive your certification. No Exams.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF ADVANCED OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION?
Have you thought of the times you sat on the boat while other went diving on a wreck at a depth beyond 18m? Advanced Open Water certification qualifies you to dive upto the limit of recreational diving ie. 30 m. Deep diving requires experience, specialized equipment, planning and training. Progress slowly and dive safely.
You may learn photography and videography to capture you precious underwater moments.
As you will learn the tricks of Navigation, as you practice, you will feel more comfortable and return back to the anchor line easily instead of long surface swims which can be tiring. These are just a few benefits.

As a qualified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, you are able to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 30m with a buddy.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Adventure Dives 1, 2 & 3 - 0700 HRS - 1330 HRS
Report and Register at the Dive Resort for your course, go through the modules of the PADI Advanced Open Water manual. Preferably recommended to collect the knowledge review manual a day prior to the dive and go through them. This allows us to take you diving the same day of arrival without losing a day.
Your PADI Instructor will give you a short briefing and run through what all you have learnt you will be required to demonstrate
Adventurous dive skills while underwater during your adventure dives 1, 2, 3,
Day 2: Adventure Dives 4 & 5 - 0700 HRS - 1330 HRS
Report at the Dive Resort.
Dive Boat leaves from the jetty to the dive site. Your PADI Instructor will give you a short briefing and run through what all you have learnt you will be required to demonstrate some dive skills while underwater during your adventure dives 4, 5.
